On 19th June 1952 this No.203 Advanced Flying School aircraft suffered an engine turbine blade detach soon after taking off from Driffield airfield. This probably resulted in an engine failure but despite this the pilot was able to return to the airfield and land normally. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site, with it returned to unit charge once complete in September 1952.
