On 5th October 1952 this aircraft received a Cat.3R damage assessment believed as the result of a flying accident. At the time the aircraft was on charge with 66 Squadron and was based at Linton on Ouse. What caused this damage assessment to be made is not known. It was repaired on site by No.60 Maintenance Unit and was noted as being servicable at Linton on Ouse in January 1953.
