This incident does not feature in the Central Gunnery Schoool record book for the actual incident that saw it damaged but it does feature a few weeks later when it was stated that a civilian working repair party started work on the aircraft. Believed to have been on 20th June 1951 this Central Gunnery School aircraft sank on take off at Leconfield which saw the nacelles clip the ground. Minor damage then resulted.
