On 28th August 1952 this aircraft suffered the nose wheel collapse while taxying off the runway at Leconfield airfield. It may well have been on the delivery flight to join the Central Gunnery School from 38 M.U. at the time because it appears to have transferred to the C.G.S. the date after this incident. 38 M.U. were based at Llandow. It was repaired on site at Leconfield by a team from 60 M.U. and was made servicable in December 1952.
