Vampire FB.5 WA231 damaged in the air, landed at Leconfield airfield.
On 25th March 1952 this Central Gunnery School aircraft was struck by debris thrown up during an air firing exercise over the ranges. The pilot landed normally, probably at Leconfield airfield where the unit was based.
