On 4th October 1952 this 66 Squadron aircraft suffered an engine failure on take off at Linton on Ouse airfield. The pilot abandoned the take off and attempted to stop the aircraft on the remaining runway but the aircraft overshot and ran into a field. It sustained repairable damage.
