On 26th May 1952 this 66 Squadron aircraft collided in the air with Meteor WH272 during a formation flying exercise. The pilot of VZ520 was able to remain in control and land the aircraft normally, probably back at Linton on Ouse airfield where it was based. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site by 60 M.U. with it servicable in July 1952.
