On 26th May 1952 this 66 Squadron aircraft collided in the air with Meteor WH272 during a formation flying exercise. The pilot of VZ520 was able to remain in control and land the aircraft normally, probably back at Linton on Ouse airfield where it was based. The damage to this aircraft was repaired.
