On 1st July 1952 this 215 Advanced Flying School aircraft overshot the end of the runway at Finningley airfield and was deliberately to swung to avoid overshooting further but the starboard undercarriage leg collapsed. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site by 60 M.U. with it servicable in December 1952.
