On 10th July 1952 this 215 Advanced Flying School aircraft suffered an engine failure during a flight. The pilot was able to land normally, probably back where the unit was based at Finningley. An inspection found that heat damage had been caused to the main spar. A Cat.4R damage assessment was made and it was despatched to 32 MU at St.Athan for a repair in works.
