On 27th August 1952 this aircraft had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it. At the time it was on charge with No.215 Advanced Flying School who was based at Finningley but what caused the damage assessment to be made is not known. It was later upgraded to Re-Cat.4R on 5th September 1952 and was repaired on site by both a team from Gloster Aircraft Ltd and also 60 MU.
The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (AIR29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasking with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of December 1952 and they repaired it at Finningley.
