On 28th August 1952 a Cat.4R damage assessment was made against this aircraft. At the time it was with No.215 Advanced Flying School and was based at Finningley airfield. This was later downgraded to Re-Cat.3. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known.
The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (air29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasking with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of November 1952 and they repaired it at Finningley.
