Meteor F.4 VT104 at Driffield airfield.

On 15th December 1952 this aircraft had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it. At the time it was a No.203 Advanced Flying School aircraft and was based at Driffield. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident. The damage was repaired on site and was returned to unit charge in February 1953 but does not appear to have been repaired by No.60 Maintenance Unit as it is not listed in their record book (air29/2039) which lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasking with making servicable.
