On 15th July 1952 this Anson collided in the air with Meteor RA300 in the circuit of Driffield airfield. The Meteor subsequently crashed at Kings Mill but the Anson pilot was able to remain in control and landed safely at Driffield airfield. Newspapers that reported on this incident stated that the Anson was a visiting aircraft, it was from Wyton and part of the Technical Training Command Communication Flight. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site by 60 M.U. with it servicable in September 1952.
