On 18th November 1952 this Central Gunnery School aircraft was struck on the bomb aimer's canopy by a seagull while on an air to sea firing exercise. Minor damage appears to have resulted and the aircraft later landed normally at Leconfield airfield. It was repaired on site by 60 MU and was noted in their records as servicable in January 1953.
