Lincoln B.2 RF386 damaged in the air, landed at Leconfield airfield.

On 6th June 1952 this Central Gunnery School aircraft was flown on a training exercise that involved the pilot taking evasive action. While on the exercise the astrodome cracked and fell off. The pilot went on to make a normal landing, probably at Leconfield airfield where the unit was based.

Pilot - F/Lt Frederick Norman Ramsey RAF (54041).

60 M.U. noted in their records that Lincoln RF386 was made servicable at Leconfield in June 1953 though on the face of it this may be following a different damage assessment than the one a year earlier.
