On 22nd December 1952 this aircraft had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it. At the time it was on charge with No.207 Advanced Flying School and was based at Full Sutton so any damage probably occurred there. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident.
It was inspected by No.43 Group damage assessors and was repaired on site but this appears to have taken until June 1954 before it was made servicable.
