During a flight on 1st July 1952 this 215 Advanced Flying School aircraft suffered some rivits shear on the port aileron which affected the movement when the control column was moved. Despite the damage the pilot landed safely at Finningley airfield. The aircraft was repaired but crashed into the sea off Donna Nook on 24th July 1952.
