A Cat.3R damage assessment was made against this aircraft on 20th September 1952. At the time the aircraft was on charge with No.203 Advanced Flying School and was based at Driffield airfield. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known. It may or may not have been accident related. More information is required. The damage was later upgraded to Re-Cat.4R on 22nd November 1952 and it was sent to Gloster Aircraft Ltd for a repair in works.
