The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (air29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of June 1952 and they repaired it at Lindholme. At the time Wellington NC958 was on charge with No.5 Air Navigation School and based at Lindholme. It presumably had a damage assessment made against it either earlier in 1952 or perhaps in 1951 but when this was is not known. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident.
