The 215 Advanced Flying School record book stated on 29th August 1952 an aircraft from Little Rissington airfield landed at Finningley in a crosswind, the port undercarriage collapsed which damaged the port wing. The Central Flying School was based at Little Rissington at the time of this incident and they probably had the aircraft on their charge. It was repaired on site at Finningley by 60 MU and was noted as servicable in May 1953.
