Meteor ventral fuel droptank near Fraisthorpe.

On 3rd May 1952 a Meteor ventral fuel droptank became detatched from an aircraft while it was flying several thousand feet above the Bridlington area. It fell into a field owned by farmer Mr Henry Hyde, of Fraisthorpe and burst. Newspaper reports on the incident suggest the aircraft was possibly from Full Sutton (207 A.F.S.) though a Driffield based 203 A.F.S. aircraft seems more likely.
