Unidentified Meteor F.4 at Linton on Ouse airfield.

On 22nd August 1952 a 207 Advanced Flying School aircraft, based at Full Sutton, attempted a ground controlled approach landing at Linton on Ouse airfield but the landing was heavy and resulted in damage to the undercarriage.

Pilot - P/O Richard Noel Rumbelow RAF (4066772).

In September 1952 both Meteors F.4 EE521 and T.7 WA663 were returned to 207 AFS following Cat.3 repairs made by 60 MU, one of these aircraft may have been the identity of the damaged one from 22nd August 1952.
