Unidentified Meteor F.4 at Full Sutton airfield.

On 19th November 1952 the pilot of this 207 Advanced Flying School aircraft held off landing too high at Full Sutton and when he then dropped the aircraft onto the runway the undercarriage then collapsed. The pilot was suspended from the training course two days later and posted out soon after.

The unit records list Meteor VT191 as having sustained Cat.4 damage during November 1952 and this may well be the aircraft damaged by this pilot.
