Meteor T.7 WG990 damaged in the air, landed at Driffield airfield.

On 1st December 1951 this No.203 Advanced Flying School aircraft collided with Meteor RA428 in landing circuit at Driffield airfield. Both aircraft received minor damage but both pilots were able to make safe landings on the airfield.

The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (air29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable. It states that Meteor WE990 was ready during the month of January 1952 and they repaired it at Driffield. It cannot be WE990 as this was a glider but it was probably WG990 that was ready.
