On 4th October 1966 this 66 Squadron aircraft suffered an undercarriage door detach in flight. Around this date the squadron was taking part in Operational Pinnacle but the squadron records state they only flew as part of this on 3rd, 6th and 7th October as part of this exercise. The unit was based at Linton on Ouse airfield so presumably it later landed safely there. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site, with it being returned to 66 Squadron charge in March 1952.
