On 31st July 1951 this aircraft had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it, at the time the aircraft was on charge with No.64 Squadron and based at Linton on Ouse. The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (air29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of August 1951 and they repaired it at Linton on Ouse. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident. The No.64 Squadron records state that during the third week of July 1951 "another two aircraft became unservicable, Cat.3, with cracked rear spars". It seems highly likely that this was one of the aircraft.
