The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (air29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of October 1951 and they repaired it at Church Fenton. At the time Meteor WB108 was on charge with No.19 Squadron and based at Church Fenton. It presumably had a damage assessment made against it in early 1951 but when this was is not known. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident.
Meteor WB108 then appears to have had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it on 29th October 1951 but where or why this was carried out is not known.
