The Central Gunnery School record book (AIR29/2314) gives very basic information that on 15th August 1951 this aircraft received damage when it was struck on the underside of the port mainplane by a debris thrown up during an air firing exercise. The aircraft went on to land normally (probably) at Leconfield airfield.
