Vampire FB.5 WA416 damaged in the air, (probably) landed at Leconfield airfield.

The Central Gunnery School record book (AIR29/2314) gives very basic information that on 14th November 1951 this aircraft suffered the canopy crack during flight. Given the unit was based at Leconfield it probably landed there.

This pilot force landed C.G.S. Vampire WA404 near Gilsland, Cumbria on 2nd October 1951.
