The Central Gunnery School record book (AIR29/2314) gives very basic information that on 20th November 1951 this aircraft suffered the port wing leading edge becoming dented during a flight. How the damage occurred is not stated and given the unit was based at Leconfield it probably occurred there. The records list the aircraft as being taken on charge by the Central Gunnery School at Leconfield on the same date which suggests it was on the delivery flight there at the time of the incident.
