On 25th November 1951 while returning to Finningley airfield this 616 Squadron aircraft received damage in the air when the port side dive brake arm failed causing severe damage to the dive brake. The pilot was able to land normally at Finningley airfield. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site by 60 M.U. with it servicable in February 1952.
