This aircraft had a Cat.4R damage assessment made against it on 14th September 1951. At that time it was a Central Gunnery school aircraft who were based at Leconfield airfield. How it was damaged is not clear though the unit ORB does not mention it being damaged as a result of a flying accident. It was sent for a repair in works at Gloster Aircraft Ltd in October 1951.
