On 3rd April 1951 this aircraft had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it. At the time the aircraft was on charge with No.101 Flying Refresher School and based at Finningley. The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (air29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of June 1951 and they repaired it at Finningley. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident.
