On 2nd July 1951 this Central Gunnery School aircraft was hit by a ricochet during an air firing exercise. The pilot later landed normally at Leconfield airfield. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site by 60 MU but this appears to have taken nearly a year.
