On 1st February 1951 this Central Gunnery School aircraft ran into Meteor VZ427 while taxying at Leconfield airfield. Both aircraft were damaged. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made against VW262 and No.60 Maintenance Unit were tasked with making servicable with it being ready during the month of May 1951.
