Meteor F.4 VT344 damaged in the air, (probably) landed at Driffield airfield.

On 7th April 1951 this 203 Advanced Flying School aircraft was being flown on an air firing exercise when it flew into a drogue cable that had been shot away over the range area. Minor damage to the aircraft resulted but the pilot went on to land normally, probably at base of Driffield. A Cat.3R damage assessment was later made on the aircraft and it was repaired on site over the next six weeks.
