Meteor F.4 VT280 near Carnaby airfield.

Very little information is known about this incident. Normally local newspapers would carry this story but on the same date a collision between two Meteors near Driffield killed one of the pilots and that was probably more newsworthy. On Thursday, 20th December 1951 this 203 Advanced Flying School aircraft was being flown on a training flight that saw the pilot undertake single engined flying training at Carnaby airfield. On one of the approaches to land the aircraft stalled and crash landed at or near Carnaby airfield.
