On 12th June 1951 this Central Gunnery School aircraft flew into a target flag while being flown over the air firing range on the coast. Minor damage resulted but the pilot landed normally. The unit was based at Leconfield but after a Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site by 60 MU at Catfoss suggesting this was where it landed, being servicable in July 1951.
