On 12th June 1951 this Central Gunnery School aircraft flew into a target flag while being flown over the air firing range on the coast. Minor damage resulted but the pilot landed normally, probably back at Leconfield where the unit was based. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site, being servicable in July 1951.
