This aircraft received a Cat.3R damage assessment on 1st October 1951 and at the time it was a No.203 Advanced Flying School aircraft who were based at Driffield.The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (air29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of January 1952 and they repaired it at Driffield. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident.
