On 31st December 1951 this 610 Squadron aircraft ran out of fuel so the pilot made a landing at Melbourne airfield at 12.10hrs, which may have been a disused airfield by this stage in history, and received damage. The squadron was based at Hooton Park though did undertake detachments to Church Fenton so their pilots could undertake various training exercises in 1951.
