The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (air29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasking with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of September 1951 and they repaired it at Full Sutton. At the time Vampire TG370 was on charge with No.103 Flying Refresher School and based at Full Sutton. It presumably had a damage assessment made against it in 1951 but when this was is not known. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident.
