Spitfire LF.XVI TB861 at Full Sutton airfield.

On 23rd August 1951 this No.103 Flying Refresher School aircraft ground looped at Full Sutton airfield which resulted in the undercarriage collapsing. The photograph shows the damage after the incident. A Cat.3R damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site by 60 M.U. with it servicable in March 1952.
