On 13th August 1951 this 101 Flying Refresher School aircraft damaged the undercarriage on landing at Finningley airfield. The damage was assessed and it was deemed beyond repair.

The pilot of this Spitfire may have been Asaad Abdelaziz al-Zuhair who would rise to become the Commander of the Royal Air Force (Saudi-Arabia).
