On 8th September 1951 this No.103 Flying Refresher School aircraft suffered engine failure in the Lindholme area. The incident is mentioned in the unit records which state that a forced landing was made near Lindholme at 08.50hrs. The location given in Colin Cummings "Last Take Off" losses book gives the location as being slightly further north at Snaith and that the landing was actually a belly landing.
