On 18th January 1951 this 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft had an issue with the starboard undercarriage on the approach to land at Leeming airfield and on landing it subsequently collapsed. The damage was assessed as being Cat.3/FA and was repaired on site with it being returned to the unit in March 1951.
