Tiger Moth II R4951 near Eastoft (airfield).

On 30t July 1951 Tiger Moth R4951, of No.9 Reserve Flying School, was being flown in the Doncaster area when it suffered engine failure. The pilot attempted a forced landing near Eastoft but the wheel must have sunk into the ground as it overturned. At the time of the incidet the village of Eastoft and also the former airfield that carried the same name were half in Yorkshire and half in Lincolnshire. I would welcome information stating where this incident occurred to allow me to confirm or delete the incident from this website.
