Hornet F.3 PX292 at Linton on Ouse airfield.

On 3rd January 1951 this aircraft, although a Linton on Ouse Station Flight aircraft, was being used by the Hornet Conversion Flight when the undercarriage collapsed after a heavy landing at Linton on Ouse airfield. The initial damage assessment was Cat.3R but this was later upgraded to Re.Cat-4 and it was taken to DeHavilland Ltd on 16th January 1951 for a repair in works.
