On 17th July 1951 Proctor NP323, of 31 Squadron, was landing at Leconfield airfield when the brake on the port wheel failed. The end result was that the aircraft tipped onto it's nose and received damage. This Proctor was on charge with No.31 Squadron at the time and were based at Hendon flying VIP's around.
