The 60 Maintenance Unit record book (air29/2039) lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of March 1952 and they repaired it at Finningley. At the time Wellington NB113 was on charge with No.101 Flying Refresher School and based at Finningley. It presumably had a damage assessment made against it at some stage in 1951 but when this was is not known. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident.
