On 31st December 1951 this No.101 Flying Refresher School aircraft was being taxied around Finningley airfield when it ran over a disused and covered over cess pit. The covering gave way and the aircraft sank in to the hole resulting in the starboard propeller and wing tip being damaged. No doubt the aircraft was sprayed with the contents of the cesspit.
